After several years of the government of Canada promising a Disability Benefit to take disabled adults out of poverty. At first it was supposed to be several hundred a month to top up provincial disability benefits and ensure the provinces did not deduct the benefit as income. Many people were very disappointed to hear that they are only giving $200 per month.
The application is now open and the benefit is schedule d to start in July.
