Many business owners, wake up towards the end of October and realize the year is virtually over. I had one client tell me “there was no point in trying to get the books straight this year as it is virtually over anyhow”. The fact is it almost over-but it is never to late to start putting things right. The earlier you start the easier your taxes will be. The only time that is “too late” to start is December 31, assuming your fiscal year is the typical default. If you really choose not to, you can always start getting ready for January.
